Celebrated Ghanaian songstress, Mzbel, over the weekend appeared at a
public event dressed in a sexy manner that could make a homosexual
develop interest in females.
Mabel's dressing caused a stir at the
National Theatre during the Television Awards Ghana last Friday, barely
a year after she vowed never to appear in public dressed provocatively
again.
The musician was 'dressed to kill' in a green evening
dress that tightly- fitted her body and perfectly outlined her body
shape. The split of the dress was cut so dangerously high that it
exposed her thighs and could not have been avoided by even the most
pious of men.
The dress had dots of sparkling diamonds and the
cutting on the chest was low enough to advertise a better part of her
breasts, while the lower part was long to an extent that it literally
swept the ground.
Interestingly, she was not the least perturbed
and was seen having a hearty chat and enjoying herself throughout the
awards night.
Ordinarily, it would have been no news for Mzbel to
have appeared in public with her jaw-dropping costume but she publicly
stated in July last year that the birth of her son, Aaron, had changed
her life, her style of dressing and that she was even going into gospel
music.
"Having Aaron has made me a better person. I feel more mature.
Yes, I will be back on stage in about a year and a half but this time around, I would be doing gospel.
"This
is because, I do not see myself doing Hiplife again; neither do I see
myself doing any of my old songs. I just cannot imagine myself standing
on stage dressed like I used to do before and performing hiplife. I feel
I am too mature for that," Mzbel told Graphic Showbiz in July last
year.
Mzbel revealed she had become a "faithful servant of God and spends time attending fellowships and prayer sessions."
She
continued: "I do not dress like the way I used to in the past. I have
become very careful of my choice of dresses. Motherhood has also changed
the way I speak and the way I respond to issues. I have also become
very selective of the events I attend. Formerly, I used to attend every
event but now I am very selective."
Meanwhile, the biological
father of Mzbel's son, Aaron, continues to be a mystery and has evaded
the Ghanaian media as well as the showbiz fraternity.
