Getting Familiar With Prinz Wan

Prince Evans Addae better Known with his stage name Prinz Wan is a Ghanaian born in Greater Accra- Ghana on October 29, 1990. I have six (6) siblings of which am the second. I currently live at Cantonments. I speak English, Twi and Ga. I am also a graduate of the University of Professional Studies, Accra; holding a first degree in Bachelor of Science Banking and Finance.I began to sing at age 12 but could notrealize the talent in me till age 18 after my secondary school. Although during my young age of 13 in my Junior High, I used to sing at my church of which I fully became part of the church choir; J.C Mensah Methodist Church Dansoman – Tunga. I never had training on my music piece but had the zeal of playing the Jazz for the church.
In High school in the early 2007, I joined the school choir of which I finally became part of the church main choir and I sang tenor.  In the school choir, I decided to form my own group when I discovered this inborn talent in me.
I quite remember my sister and I went to a friend’s wedding and I sang to move the congregation and there I discovered my talent.
At the university, the desire of music became more fire burning in me. I started recording singles at several recording studios. I worked with sound engineers such as Red now Beat Monsta, G-Money, P.k, O’tion, and Odo Nsuo among others. I have been an underground artiste for several years and have had collaboration with several artist that I cannot even remember. My first single titled Yekaaye; my first hit recorded by Red now Beat Monsta was not well promoted because of lack of fund and management. I have had the opportunity of meeting some renowned celebrities’ like Sarkodie, Mugeez R2Bs, Asem, Shatta Wale, Pope Skinny, Edem, kwabenaKwabena, and some gospel artists.
Vision, Purpose and Mission
I have the vision of creating a well brand image as an artist in the industry and what had always motivated me in music had been good tunes, and the session of quality music from renowned artists around the world. Some examples of artists I have looked upon or liked their work include Akon of Konvict and other popular Jamaican artiste like Sean Kingston. I love to hear positive tunes which will go a mile way to influence the youth positively. My music style had not be well defined since am capable of doing all kinds of music. I have rapped on several collaborations and to a larger extent battled in rap hip hop competition even at my tertiary. I had a stage name from my peers those days as’ Concealer’ till I changed to Prince 1 and rebranded it as Prinz Wan; where the Wan means ‘When God is Able Noting is impossible ‘. Currently, am fully into Gospel, Love and Inspirational. I do RnB, Hip-Hop, and Afro-Pop. I have the passion and unidentified zeal to rule and reign in this God giving talent.
Leisure
During my school days at Kotoka Burma-Camp, I used to play football and Basketball with friends.
In the school team, I played number 7. Those days if I had concentrated on the football, I would not have been here doing music; probably be in one of the hottest leaks abroad. I can really dribble with the ball and score beautiful goals. This granted me the opportunity to make new friends who made me happy anytime we met. I had support from teachers anytime I had problem with my academics. As time went by, my interest for football faded when my parents went to settle at Dansoman. I fell in love with basketball since they called it gentle and D-bi’s game and till date I still prefer basketball to football.
Again, I love to travel around to explore and learn new things to add to my scope of ideas.
I have travelled as far to Mali, Nigeria without the approval of my parents just to explore. One day, given the opportunity, I would like to tour the whole of Ghana and Africa to really appreciate my history and my background.
Moreover, singing had been my passion as well as my leisure. Everywhere I find myself I sing along. And because I loved basketball, it had been attached to it that all basketball stars like music and dancing and I always supported the view.

During my level 200, I really loved the music to the extent of skipping schools to sleep over studios. This affected my academics and it largely dropped my performance; what we term “GPA” down. I advised myself and desisted from music till I completed in order to revive my grades. Notwithstanding that, I still wrote more lyrics to be recorded after school. All finally changed when I had a unique encounter with God and I made Him the king of my thoughts and everything changed right from my lyrics to the glory of God. I told God I wanted to do gospel and love songs. He searched me thoroughly before he gave me the spirit to inspire me. Now I have singles yet to be promoted by his grace of God.
